First Supply has a rich history of service to the building community. Now into our 125th year in business, we have great pride in remaining family-owned in the fifth generation. We are recognized nationally as a a leader in the industry because of our laser focus on employing the best support staff and our vendor partnerships that allow us to provide the most reliable products available to contractors today. We’ve built long-term relationships on the driving philosophy – “the customer relationship comes first.”
First Companies including First Supply, Gerhard’s Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Stores, the Kohler Signature Stores by First Supply and First Waterworks have a shared mission – For five generations, First Companies has been the supplier of choice for exceptional brands while progressively innovating the distribution channel. We will provide partnership to our customers by empowering our teams to have a positive impact on everything they do.
Growing and strengthening our business for the next generations allows us to invest in key markets and channels like in the waterworks channel in Southeastern Wisconsin. From the days of barging pipe up the Mississippi River 80 years ago, the waterworks segment has played an important role at First Companies. So much so that the new First Waterworks segment was created in 2020 allowing a strengthened focus on vendor relationships, customer service, and market growth.
