President Signs America’s Water Infrastructure Act
The WaterSense Program – a previously voluntary public-private partnership with the goal of saving consumers money on their water and energy bills – is now part of federal law.
Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI) applauds the change. Along with its members and industry partners, PMI worked alongside lawmakers on the language of the bill.
Under the program, plumbing manufacturers have developed more than 27,000 models of WaterSense-labeled products, including showerheads, toilets, urinals, faucets and other accessories. Now that the program is part of federal law, the industry can be assured of continued product innovation and ongoing savings.
