Creating New Products from Landfill Waste

No one likes to think about all the waste we generate that ends up in landfills. Sometimes we feel powerless to help. But one innovative company is blazing a trail in finding solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and solid waste going to landfills.

Kohler Co.’s Waste Lab team has a unique solution to keeping waste – especially construction waste – out of landfills. They started gathering landfill-bound materials from their Sheboygan, Wisconsin location and used it to create tiles that they plan to sell starting next year under the Ann Sacks decorative tile line.
