- RectorSeal® No. 5® pipe thread sealant is a soft-set, slow drying compound which seals, lubricates, and protects threaded pipe and fittings. It can be pressurized immediately.
RectorSeal® No. 5® Premium Pipe Thread Sealant, Multi Purpose, Can, 1 gal, Resinous Base, Composition: Diacetone Alcohol, Paste, Yellow, Mild, 20 to 140 deg F, 1.38 Specific Gravity, 150 deg F Flash, 317 g/L VOC, Flammability: 2
- Lubricates and protects threads and for use with potable water (hot or cold)
- Soft setting, slow drying and will not dry out in the can
- Immediate pressurization on pipe up to 2 in and 100 psi
- Lead free and contains no other metals and permits easy break out with no damage to threads
- Brushable from 20 to 140 deg F, for pressure up to 12000 psi (liquids) and 2600 psi (gases)
- For pipe carrying: Acids, dilute, ammonia gas liquid, diesel fuel oil, hydraulic oils, inert gases, refrigerants, gasoline (leaded and unleaded), cutting oils (low aromatic) and more
- 2 years shelf life
- Do not use on ABS/CPVC
