The E3 Manhole Seal is designed to prevent infiltration of water into the manhole by sealing it externally. The E3 Manhole Seal shall have a high-grade EPDM rubber sleeve with a minimum thickness of .065" and elongation of 350%. A 4" by 3/16" thick butyl mastic tape shall be applied 2" onto the casting flange and the rest over the top adjusting ring. A bead of 100% butyl caulk will be applied to the 2" vertical lip of the cone section and the rubber sleeve will be held in place with a 304 stainless-steel band and clamp.
